While Mom and I were traveling through out Oregon, we found this great little garden store that sold these wonder little candles. I have fallen in love with these. I can't get enough of them. It's too bad they're so expensive because I could really use some more of them...

I wish my place was funkier than it is. I mean, I understand it's my first place and it will take a while getting used to it and I've only been there for 6 months... (wow... already...) BUT there still seems to be something missing. Something... something major. The living room is great, it's me, it's got my stuff and it fits all the things I want to fit in there. But the bedroom is a little of a conundrum. There is nothing on the walls. There are no shelves, no rug. No real character.

Le sigh.

Every time I venture east of my little apartment, I ensure my travels include a drive past S2 Bride which is on 12th Avenue.

They always have a spectacularly stunning gown in the front window and I always slow down past the window to take it all in. Big sigh in, big sigh out.

I swear to God I'll cause an accident one day driving past. The gowns are just so gorgeous.

Gettin' ready for Stampede.

So as you know, I'm not the hugest fan of Stampede. I've trash talked it in the past pretty good. I hated the drunken rowdiness of it. The way the city becomes one big hick town and the way cowboy hats are the new black.

This year however, I kinda have to fall in love with the 10 days of drunken craziness. I mean, I work for the Stampede. I have to be positive about it.

Today at our Staff Rally, we all got in the mood for the 2008 Calgary Stampede. So much in fact, at lunch we purchased cowboy hats and ga-ga'd over the dinner-plate size belt buckles. I even listened to Country 105 on the way home.

Who likes toys?

After beginning my spring purge on Sunday, I found a couple pairs of shoes I forgot I had... and even 2 pairs of shoes which are still in the boxes, unworn. Seriously - I'm a tool. Anyways - this nifty little invention might be the single coolest thing I've seen all day - and remember it's Monday morning at 7:30.

It's a Shoe Wheel and it holds 30 shoes. I think I actually have enough shoes to fill it. Sad, I know.

Head over heels in love with this bag almost to the point where I am trying to figure out what I should pawn to purchase it. Mind you, it's not like this stunningly fabulous bag; this one is much more reasonable but only because of the cost...

This one isn't that pricy - gotta rationalize the purchase though somehow: put $300 aside for a trip with my man, putting it towards the ever increasing Visa bills, or towards looking damn hot. Could go either way really...
