Today is the outlet mall in Woodburn, OR. Today is what I've been waiting for. Hi. Where else can you find a BCBG, Banana Republic and Nine West outlet store all in the same mall? That's right, no where. This my friends was to be an exciting day.
After buying mom a small bit of breakfast and grabbing myself a venti Pike Place (no room, please) we busted a move to Woodburn to check out the outlet mall. Well. If one had only told me that Woodburn might be only really overrated, we might not have visited. Although, I might not have picked up the delicious cocktail dress and tight-fitting tank top that I did. After a joint quick nod of the head, we were off to Salem, OR. Why? Why not.
Again, if only we knew... Salem was a dive. We couldn't leave quick enough. In fact, we only stayed for the lunch which still was only sub par. We quickly got back in the car, locked the doors and were off to the Holy Grail of our entire US of A Road Trip: The Container Store. Not one day passed where Mom didn't say, "and The Container Store...", "OoooOOOoohhh only 4 more sleeps til The Container Store..."
We found Bridgeport Village by fluke. This place was where we needed to be all day. It was the most epic outdoor-mall I have ever seen. Mom and I have found the shopping epicentre of Oregon. Que angel singing...
After shopping our faces off, we decide to head back to Portland, find Pottery Barn, hit up Whole Foods for some tantalizing organic wine and chocolate mousse and some epic pizza from that little hole-in-the-wall place we visited in Nob Hill. MMMMmmMMM.
It was to be a cheap night. We were tired. We were spent. We were ready to drink in the hotel room, and not be forced by society to tip anyone at the end of the night. It was the last night at the Paramount. We were going to get drunk and jump on the bed. OR... get drunk and pass out in bed until the sun came up.
