Julian's Memorial service was truly beautiful.
Beulah Alliance was packed. There were so many different people, from different generations, from different communities who have been impacted by Julian, and have been saddened by his death.
Everyone who spoke was vulnerable in their sadness, but clear in their affection for Julian. The service was over 2 hours long, and nobody wanted it to end. It was well past 8pm before the last of us left the church’s reception hall.
John McNicoll finished the service with his benediction: “God in peace and serve the Lord. Love God, love kids, and love one another. And do it with all your heart, like our friend Julian.”
